Daimler sales up 12.9%, Smart Cars the cause

Daimler AG said Tuesday that its June U.S. sales rose 12.9% on Smart car sales. Daimler said that June U.S. Mercedes-Benz sales were practically flat, down 0.1% to 19,576 units from 19,589 a year ago. In June, the company sold 2,545 Smart cars in the United States, after first introducing them in mid-January
