Allan's success in packing a punch

MOTHERWELL'S Allan Love shows his style during a quickfire victory over Ritchie Bagbe in their mixed martial arts bout at Glasgow's Braehead Arena.

The 24-year-old had a first round success in the MAX Xtreme Fighting event, organised by Cage Wars Productions.

More than 2,000 fans enjoyed the 13-bout programme.

Jonny Burrows, Cage Wars spokesman, said: "The fights, atmosphere and crowd were superb.

"It's clear that MMA has gripped the imagination of the people of Scotland. We cannot wait to bring the show back to them and plan to do that as soon as possible."

It was Allan's third bout in his eight-month career and he's hoping there are many more victories to come.
