Elizabeth Pena and Jennifer Ertman stumbled upon a group of gangmembers as they were walking home one night 15 years ago.
Pena's father said his family will never have closure, but theyhave waited too long for justice.
"I don't care if you are from Egypt, if you come here to Texas andkill somebody, expect to be killed," said Pena.
Harris County District Attorney Ken Magidson is standing by theAug. 5 execution date that has been set for Medellin.
In a statement released Wednesday, Magidson said in part "TheUnited State's Supreme Court has held that decisions of theinternational court of justice are not binding on state courts."
KPRC Local 2's Legal Analyst Brian Wice agreed.
"The World Court asking Texas to spare this thug's execution hasall the credibility of the knucklehead behind the curtain in theWizard of Oz," Wice said.
Assuming nothing derails Medellin's date with death by lethalinjection, Pena hopes to witness the execution.
"I definitely think about her every day," Pena said while lookingat his daughter's picture in his wallet. "Where's the justice forElizabeth? Where's the justice for her? I am here speaking for mydaughter because she's not able to. She didn't deserve to die. Shedied in a cruel way, and this guy deserves to die."
