According to watemelon.org, although some folks rely on the"thumping" method, here's some fail-safe tips guaranteed to get youa gusher!
- Look the watermelon over, choose a firm, symmetrical fruit thatis free of bruises, cuts and dents.
- Lift it up -- the watermelon should feel heavy for its size.
- Turn it over -- on the underside of the watermelon there shouldbe a creamy, yellow spot (called the ground spot) from where it saton the ground and ripened in the sun.

- According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the record forwatermelon seed spitting is 68 ft., 9 1/8 in.

Place a watermelon slice on each of 4 plates. Evenly spoon half oftabbouleh over watermelon. Layer remaining slices of watermelonover tabbouleh. Spoon remaining tabbouleh over watermelon slices.Arrange the chicken slices over tabbouleh and garnish with chivesand parsley. Serve immediately.
In small saucepan, over medium high heat, cook sugar and wateruntil sugar is dissolved, about 3 minutes. Add ginger and bring toboil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let sit for 30 minutes. Syrup can be storedfor up to 2 days. Pour syrup through strainer.
In blender, combine watermelon, soy milk, and syrup. Process untilsmooth. Serve immediately. Refrigerate any unused smoothie for upto one day.
