New High Performance Gap Fillers Meets Customer Need for VariousLevels of Conductivity and Compression Force
The Composites Division of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corporation (SGPPL) introduces ThermaCool TC2006, TC3006 and TC3008, a new line ofhigh performance gap fillers developed specifically to meet thedemanding requirements of printed circuit boards, power supplydevices and other electronic applications. These products areavailable in industry-leading 24" x 24" sheets,maximizing converter efficiency.
These super soft and compliant gap fillers deliver excellentthermal conductivity for exceptional heat transfer, and canaccommodate materials of varying coefficients of thermal expansion.Their low compression force enables them to span multiplecomponents with minimal pressure, making them particularlyeffective as board sizes continue to shrink. Intrinsically tacky,they require no adhesive and can also be ordered with fabric orscrim surfaces.
Products in the ThermaCool line: TC2006 - Economical, highly compliant gap filler with an excellentbalance between conductivity and compression force. TC3006 - Outstanding compression performance, allowing >45%compression without exceeding 10 psi on components. TC3008 - High performance gap filler useful for higher conductivityapplications in which compression is more than 10%.
