AmericasMart continues to expand theKids World section and next year it will grow from one floor ofpermanent showrooms to two. It’s certainly a market to keepyou eye on as the product selection runs the gamut from furnitureand bedding to accessories, gifts and more.
Newcomers to Atlanta included Serena & Lily , Whistle & Wink , Sterling Anabella, Seth & Grayson and Green Haven Studios among others.
Doodlefish is promoting its custom bedding service, which includesmonogramming, and a choice of more than 100 fabrics. The Georgia-based company can turn orders around in 3-4 weeks. It alsois doing well with its new line of personalized wall decor.
The Moonpies & Dragonflies showroom, which includes Alli Taylor Bedding , Creative Concepts by Jill and Sweet Beginnings , moved into a larger, more prominent showroom on the 13th floor.Alli Taylor Bedding expanded its product line to includelower-price point crib collections that also have coordinating walldecor from Creative Concepts by Jill.
Buggy Bagg made its Atlanta debut with the announcement of its newest licensewith Mossy Oak . The line features the number one camo brand on both high chairand shopping cart covers.
The market was brimming with new trends as well. We saw hints ofgray — as in gunmetal gray — on rugs and crib bedding.Though pink and chocolate and blue and chocolate seem to be here tostay, blue and green color combos also are emerging as is purple(lilac and plums). Toile is making a comeback; we saw it on a newcollection from Doodlefish as well as on bibs at Three Marthas and a nap mat at Infantissima .
Eco-friendly products are becoming easier to find too as theconsumer demand grows. Green Haven Studios showed its greencertified furniture, Serena & Lily offered its organic giftsets and F.B. Fogg had one-of-a- kind wall decor, gifts and accessories crafted fromall recycled paper products. Russ Berrie launched two eco-collections, one in plush with natural dyes andthe other, a line of small wooden toys from Australia. The companyplans to take its whole baby line green in the future.
