Airflow will introduce at Interbuild a new range of low energy,Mechanical Ventilation units with Heat Recovery for residentialdwellings. They will reclaim up to 80% of the heat from extractedair that would normally be wasted and with models SAP Appendix QEligible, contribute to the overall reduction of carbon emissionsfrom the building. Also on show will be a completely new, installerfriendly, method of installing the ducting as part of the MVHRsystem.

A healthier indoor climate is alsocreated by removing potentially harmful airborne pollutants, andeliminating condensation and mould growth produced by excess levelsof humidity. Duplexvent MVHR units come in a range of performancesizes to suit small flats all the way up to a 5 bedroom houses.

Extracted warm, moist air from wet rooms and toilets is passedthrough a highly efficient heat exchanger which transfers warmththrough a series of fins into incoming filtered, fresh air fromoutside. Operating at an economically low trickle speed, higherlevels of ventilation are activated on-demand when increased levelsof humidity from cooking, washing etc. is sensed. Another optiontriggers boost ventilation when higher levels of carbon dioxide,due to increased occupancy, is monitored.

By installing Duplexvent MVHR the long term benefits are areduction in annual heating costs through savings in energy byturning down the stat a few degrees.
