Mondays: 4th, 10th and 18th August (9am-12noon)
Drawing and painting with Penny Forder. Students have theopportunity of developing their own drawing or painting projectswith personal advice, guidance and tuition. Tuesdays: 19th August (10am-12noon)
Tuesday Painters @ MACS with Jinny Heath. For painters (anddraughtsmen) of some experience who would like a forum in which toshow and discuss their most recent work or work-in-progress withlike-minded people. Limited number of students can be accommodated.R65 MACS members and R75 non-MACS members per session. (This willbe a monthly forum to be held again on 16th September, 21st Octoberand 18th November). Beginners Drawing with Penny Forder. Beginners drawing using theright side of the brain. An intensive course designed to make youdraw and think like an artist. Learn to draw quickly with thiscourse which makes drawing accessible to anyone. Learn to thinklike an artist in terms of line, shape, tone and composition. Wednesdays: 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th August (9am-12noon)
MACS Wednesday Art Club  an interactive group. Work in medium andlevel of choice. All welcome. R25 per session. Phone 033 386 6500.

Thursdays: 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th August (9am-12noon)
Creative Thursdays will concentrate on freestyle machineembroidery, catering for people at all levels of experience. Youhave to be on good speaking terms with your sewing machine! Aportfolio of course examples is available at the MACS office, aswell as a list of requirements. This is not restricted to"wearable". Saturdays: Wild Knitting : 2nd and 16th August (9am-12noon)
Its not nearly as wild as you might think. Join us and knitwhichever way you like, check out all our gorgeous yarns, and feelbetter about practically anything by the end of the morning. Bringsome yarn & needles, crochet if you like. There is no formaltuition, but free advice is given to all by all! Beginners andrusty knitters welcome. R25 per session. Introduction to Freestyle Machine Embroidery with Jutta Faulds. Ifyou want to learn how you can make your sewing machine do what YOUwant it to, then this may be for you. You dont need a fancymachine for this, but you should be on good terms with the one youhave got. A portfolio of class examples is at the MACS office (orcheck in the craft shop on Saturdays) as well as a list ofrequirements. R190 for both sessions. Please book by phoning 033386 6500.

Saturday 30th August (1.30pm to 4pm): Join Clare Smith and learn to make flat felt using the wet feltingmethod. R50 for the afternoon includes tea/coffee, a ball of fleece(either white or dyed) and your tuition.
