The Karoonda and Districts Stud Merino Field Day presented SouthAustralian graziers with an excellent opportunity to assess thefuture of their flocks for both wool and sheepmeat production.
Leading the sale was Brenton Stratford, Tumby Bay, who bought aMerino ram with 20.6 micron wool for $3000 from Roger Fiebig,Hilton Heath, Mount Pleasant and Keith, SA.
It was fourth Hilton Heath ram Mr Stratford has purchased in recentyears and will be used in his commerical Merino flock on his'Secret Rocks' property.
Hilton Heath Stud also sold a Poll Merino Ram, 19.7 micron toHelyar Brothers, Monteith, for $1500.
