Currington, Carroll featured at fair

BOWLING GREEN — Country singers Billy Currington and JasonMichael Carroll will headline the entertainment at this year's WoodCounty Fair.

The seven-day event kicks off Tuesday in Bowling Green with harnessracing and a parade.

Currington and Carroll will perform at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in thegrandstand.

The fair ends next Monday with a demolition derby.

Thursday will be Senior Citizens Day. Special programming will beheld in the free tent located near the junior fair buildingstarting at 9 a.m. There will be tributes to area senior citizencenters and performances throughout the day.

Daily admission is $6 while children 10 and under are admittedfree. Weekly passes cost $18.

Rides cost $12 to ride from noon to 6 p.m.; $15 to ride from 5 p.m.to 11 p.m.; or $18 for the entire day.

Grandstand entertainment prices are as follows: Currington andCarroll concert (Saturday) $30 track, $25 grandstand; combinedemolition derby (Sunday) $5, children 6 and under free; demolitionderby (Monday) $5, children 6 and under free.
