CRAFT: A Creative Community presents its monthly "Sunday CRAFTFair" from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 3 in the rear parking lot of theLipstick Lounge (corner of 14th and Woodland in East Nashville).
Local artisans will present and sell original handcrafted items andartwork at affordable prices. More than 30 artisans will sharetheir wares. In the case of rain, the event will be held the nextSunday, Aug. 10.

Harvest Potluck celebrates local food, gardening
GROW Nashville and Metro Parks will host a Harvest Potluck tocelebrate gardening in Nashville and the growing of local food from6 to 8 p.m. July 31 at East Park Community Center.
Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share and enjoy freshfood with friends and neighbors while learning about communitygardening in Nashville.
GROW Nashville will give guidance on starting a fall garden, talkabout community gardening and provide vegetable seeds to get yourown garden growing.
This year's event will include the viewing of a very specialcommunity gardening documentary by director Maria De Luca titledGreen Streets.

Six young artists were selected at the Nashville Slam Finals ofYouth Speaks Nashville at Rocketown on June 30 to representNashville at the Brave New Voices Festival and International PoetrySlam in Washington, D.C.
The six will depart from Tennessee State University on Tuesday forthe nation's capital.

Invigor8 Communications LLC, a marketing communications and publicrelations firm announced July 10 that it has acquired the pressmanagement and marketing communications business portfolio ofSBResults LLC, a Hermitage- based Web design firm.
To accommodate the business acquisition and staff growth, Invigor8Communications has leased and improved additional office space inEast Nashville in their Woodland Street building. The company willsoon be adding an Invigor8ion Station, a high-tech, multi-platformspace for community and client use opening this month.
Under the terms of the deal, SBResults LLC will retain its Webprogramming clients. The firm will remain jointly owned by LaneScoggin and Shane Burkett and will be managed by Scoggin. Burkettwill cease involvement in SBResults' day-to day operations and willjoin the management team of Invigor8 Communications vice presidentand creative marketing officer.
Rusty Carbaugh, president and strategic marketing officer atInvigor8 Communications, is pleased with the transaction and withbringing Burkett on board as co-manager of the firm.
"I believe that Shane's creative direction and ability toconsistently think outside the box when it comes to marketing andmanagement will be a strong asset to Invigor8 Communications andthe clients we serve," Carbaugh said.
