Kids who bring a non-perishable food item to Coral Square Mall fromnoon to 2 p.m. Saturday can participate in an event known as SimonKidgits Super Duper Mini Chefs. The Coral Springs mall is part ofthe Simon Malls chain and Kidgits is the name of the malls'children's club.
Look for at a Mr. Potato Head activity, a pasta craft station withBarilla pasta and free recipes from children's programmer qubo.Members of the Kidgits Club will receive a free fruit and veggieplayset and placemat while supplies last. You can sign up for afree membership on the day of the event.
The event is designed to foster a healthy appreciation of food.
