Three groups of Sunbrella fabrics won honors in the Awards for Design Excellenc

The Sunbrella Mackenzie Collection received the top level platinumaward, Sunbrella Hallesberg Sheer Collection a gold award and theSunbrella Clipped Sheer Collection a silver award.

“Sunbrella has long been known for its performanceattributes, including fade and stain resistance and ease ofcleaning,” said Gina Wicker, design and creative director for Glen Raven Custom Fabrics , makers of Sunbrella. “Recognition in a national designcontest such as the ADEX awards is exciting affirmation of theincreasing design sophistication offered by Sunbrellafabrics.”

The Sunbrella Mackenzie Collection includes a range of patternscombining traditional patterns with contemporary color flair. Thecollection features a refreshing glacier blue combined with softwheat for an easy to live with aesthetic. Patterns includeMackenzie Beach, a reversible leaf and scroll design, and MacDowellBeach, a small scale damask inspired by iron finials.

Also in the Mackenzie Collection are Sasian Sesame and SasianParchment, which are Asian-inspired fabrics designed by RichardFrinier, an award-winning home furnishing designer. Sasian is anideal weight for window or top of the bed applications. To add abit of surface appeal, the group also features Simone Honey, aluxurious texture combining boucle and chenille yarns. TheMackenzie collection is available to the trade through Silver StateTextiles.

Sunbrella's gold award-winning Hallesberg Sheer Collection featurestrue leno sheers available in 118-inch widths. The sheer fabricfeatures a pinstripe design for added visual interest and isavailable in white, ivory and linen. The fabrics are ideal for useas window treatments or as accents for architectural structures,such as canopy beds or gazebos. The collection is available to thetrade through Pindler & Pindler.

The silver award-winning Sunbrella Clipped Sheer Collectionincludes three unique fabrics. Leluc features an alternating boxdesign, Bonaire offers a subtle floral motif, and Martinair is arectangular design with alternating weaves for a clean look. Eachpattern features delicate eyelash effects created by a specialmanufacturing process. The fabrics are offered in a nature-inspiredcolor palette of soft neutrals, which is enhanced when the fabricsare used for window treatments. The Sunbrella Clipped SheerCollection is available to the trade exclusively through Pindler& Pindler.
