Voith builds the world\'s largest paper machine for Hainan Jinhai
It is reported that Hainan Jinhai Pulp & Paper Industry Co Ltd asubsidiary of Indonesian Asia Pulp & Paper is in the process ofbuilding another leading industry facility Hainan PM2, which willbe the largest machine for fine paper production in the world.

The paper machine, supplied by Voith Paper of Germany is acomprehensive operation from stock preparation to finishing,spanning 670 meters in length. It will have capacity for 1 illiontonne per year once in production from May 2009.

A paper machine is built with large amounts of stainless steel,necessitated by wet and high chloride process conditions. A machineof the size of Hainan PM2 takes approximately 2,000 tonnes ofstainless in flat products, tubes and fittings. A comprehensivepackage of approximately 2,000 tons of flat products, tubes andfittings, in grades 1.4401 (316) and 1.4571 (316Ti), with smallamounts in 1.4301 (304)
