UZBEKISTAN: British firm sets up textile joint venture - papers

A new US$9.74m joint venture company that will produce cotton yarnand knitted fabric has been set up in the Andijan region ofUzbekistan according to local news reports.
The company, Tagus Textile, is a joint venture with a UK firmcalled Tagus Management Services Ltd.
According to the reports, the British company intends to investUS$30.5m into the venture over the next five years.
