Guild creates a queen-sized quilt to be raffled by LACASA

The Casual Quilters Guild of Brighton has created a queen-sizedquilt and pillowcases for the 10th anniversary of the LACASA GardenTour.
LACASA, the Livingston County organization working to end domesticviolence, sexual assault and child abuse, will sell the quilt in araffle on Saturday, Aug. 29, as a benefit.
Proceeds will help provide free programs and services to survivors.
Eight women of the Casual Quilters Guild of Brighton designed andput together the "Garden Twist'' design in green tones while BarbHelwig quilted the piece.
The fabric for the quilt was donated by Monarch Quilts in Brightonand space to work on it was donated by The Stitchery of Howell.LACASA is selling raffle tickets for $5 at LACASA on W. Grand Riverin Howell and at two of its summer events, the LACASA Garden Tourand Twilight in the Garden.
LACASA is holding its 10th year anniversary Garden Tour onSaturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. atten homes in Livingston County. Twilight in the Garden will be heldon Saturday, July 12, at the home of Steve and Patty Gronow from 6p.m. to twilight.
