Imperial Leather soap maker PZ Cussons's trading is up to speeddespite further "significant" rises in input costs.

"The group is currently offsetting further significant rises ininput costs through cost reduction initiatives and priceincreases," it said adding that trading in the its largest market,Nigeria, has been strong in homecare, personal care, electricalsand nutrition.

Sales have also been strong in the UK though the consumerenvironment is difficult. In our other markets, trading overall hasbeen in line with expectations, while the performance of TheSanctuary, acquired in January this year, has also been in linewith expectations, with both the products business and the spaperforming well.
