Cotton Fabric Trade Deteriorates in February 2008

China's cotton fabric trade deteriorated in February 2008, with exports falling 8.6 percent to 416 million square meters after experiencing healthy exports of 583 million square meters in January. January through February cumulative exports increased 7.6 percent to 99.9 million square meters. Import demand has continued very weak, with February imports dropping to its lowest monthly volume in over five years, falling 15.4 percent to 66 million square meters.
