The INFINITEM survey was carried out by Abitibi Geophysique, andidentified four conductors on the Carheil property. Conductor C-02extends the favourable zone intersected in Hole BR-76-02 (0.43% Cuover 2.44 m) by 600 metres toward the east. Conductor C-03 is a newconductor that has not yet been tested by drilling, and conductorsC-01 and C-04 confirm the strike and the 55 degrees southerly dipof the property geology.
"The mineralized zones intersected by earlier drilling occur at ashallow depth, and the INFINITEM survey has now confirmed thatthese remain open along strike. The next stage is to test the newgeophysical targets and the known targets at depth by drilling,"stated David Grondin, President of NQ Exploration Inc.
The Carheil property lies in Brouillan township, 8 km southwest ofRio Algom Limited's Les Mines Selbaie operation (production of 44million tonnes grading an average of 1.05% Cu, 1.98% Zn, 32.1 g/tAg and 0.47 g/t Au). Exploration NQ Inc. owns a 100% interest inthe Carheil property, which is free of any royalties.
The Carheil property has excellent potential for the discovery ofcopper-zinc-gold-silver volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits andgold deposits. Work carried out from 1976 to 1998 identified twozones mineralized in zinc and copper respectively in the form ofveinlets and disseminated sphalerite and chalcopyrite within analtered rhyolite.
