LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwire) -- 08/20/08 -- Franklin Mining, Inc.( FMNJ ) (FRANKFURT: FMJ) Chairman and CEO William Petty confirms he hasreceived numerous inquiries concerning recently announced zinccontent of Bolivia's Escala Mine. Mr. Petty also confirms thatFranklin's Vice President of Operations for International Mining,Howard Dunn, P.E., is returning to Bolivia earlier than planned tosupervise final testing and preparation for upcoming site visits bypotential purchasers of zinc and other minerals.

The Escala Mine was established during the Spanish colonial periodand has been mined for lead, zinc, gold and silver.
