China July PPI up 10.0 pct yr-on-yr - stats bureau - UPDATE

BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - China's producer price index (PPI) in Julyrose 10.0 pct from a year earlier, the National Bureau ofStatistics said in a statement.
The January to July PPI was up 8.0 pct year-on-year, the NBS said.
PPI in June rose 8.8 pct from a year earlier, while PPI in thefirst half was up 7.6 pct year-on-year.
The NBS said procurement prices for raw materials, fuel and powerrose 15.4 pct in July.
Prices for production materials increased 11.7 pct, while miningand exploration prices rose 34.1 pct.
Raw materials prices rose 14.3 pct last month.
Prices for the processing industry rose 7.7 pct, with consumergoods prices up 4.6 pct.
Prices for food and related products rose 9.1 pct, while clothingand related product prices were up 2.4 pct.
Daily consumer goods prices increased 4.3 pct in July, while pricesfor consumer durables were down 0.2 pct.
Prices of crude oil rose 41.2 pct in July, while prices ofgasoline, kerosene and diesel were up 32.6 pct, 21.5 pct and 29.4pct respectively.
Polystyrene prices rose 4.3 pct last month.
Coal mining and washing prices increased 32.6 pct and raw coalprices were up 32.2 pct. Ferrous metal processing prices rose 31.0pct in July.
Prices for large- and medium-sized steel products rose 37.5 pct and47.2 pct respectively, while prices for small steel products wereup 38.3 pct.
Steel wire prices rose 53.2 pct, while prices for medium thicknesssteel plates were up 31.6 pct.
Non-ferrous metal processing prices down 2.1 pct last month.
Procurement prices for raw materials, fuel and power increased 11.7pct from January to July.
