Delegates at this year’s Euro PM Congress & Exhibition , 29 September - 1 October, Mannheim, Germany will be able toparticipate in focussed workshops on ‘Hard Materials:Cermets, Ceramics and Superhard Materials’, ‘Quality ofMIM products’, and ‘Compaction Technology –Advances and Future Challenges’.
The three seminars have been designed for distinct market sectors,which will be able to create a real focal point for their industryarea.
The Hard Materials seminar will discover how Cermets, Ceramics andSuperhard Materials will help improve machining productivity of newand existing work piece materials.
The Metal Injection Moulding workshop will explore the currentissue of the quality of MIM products and discuss how future qualitycan be maintained and what will be involved.
The objective of the Compaction Technology workshop will be todetermine benefits, practicality and limitations of currenttechnologies and, as a result to identify areas that requirefurther research and development.
The end of the special range of seminars will coincide withdelegate tours of the Mercedes Benz Factory and the BASF factoryfor the Wednesday afternoon.
Three tours of the Mercedes Benz factory have been arranged, withthe first tour bus leaving at 13.30. The one and only tour of theBASF plant will leave at 13.30.
