EEPC to promote engineering exports overseas
BHUBANESWAR, July 21: Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC),the apex body of engineering exporters from India will beorganising two exclusive engineering exhibitions in Kuala Lumpurand Shanghai in the coming months to promote engineering exportsfrom India and explore the most upcoming industrial market ofChina.
The exhibition in Kuala Lumpur will be held during from 25 to 27September at Putra World Trade Centre. This is said to be a majorstep forward to enter into the Malaysian market.
The exhibition will coincide with ASEAN international woodworkingmachinery fair and SME international trade fair, which areconsidered to be major events not only in Malaysia, but also insouth-east Asia.
The exhibition will provide a good platform for projecting Indiasstate of the art engineering industries before the highlydiscerning overseas buyers.
The Council will also organise INDEE Shanghai between 4 Novemberand 8 November which will coincide with metalworking andCND machine tool show covered under China international machineryfair, 2008 which is organised by Shanghai world expo (Group) co.ltd.
The Council has already started the mobilisation campaign forparticipation in the above exhibitions. During one such meetingheld here recently, Ms Anima Pandey, regional director(EEPC eastern region) said that both the exhibitions will helpsmall and medium enterprises in exploring these two markets whofind it difficult to get a foothold otherwise.
All eligible participants will be entitled to MDA (marketdevelopment assistance) grant under Focus ASEAN Programme of theministry of commerce, government of India as per the MDA Guidelineseffective from 1 April, 2006. n sns
