Brentwood, Tennessee, July 18, 2008 & PrideSports, maker ofSoftspikes® cleats, the #1 cleat brand on TOUR, took acommanding lead after the opening round of The Open Championship,as nearly 60% of the elite field utilized PrideSports' stable ofproducts including Pulsar", the #1 Cleat on TOUR, and Black Widow",the world's #1 selling golf cleat model. In addition, 12 of the top16 ranked players, including 72% of the overall plastic cleat andmetal spike field, at the PGA TOUR's U.S. Bank Championship inMilwaukee chose PrideSports products.
