PARIS (Thomson Financial) - ArcelorMittal said it has bought theoutstanding 60 percent of shares in Rolanfer Recyclage, giving itfull control of the company.
The metals and mining company did not give any financial details ofthe transaction.
French company Rolanfer, based near the border with Luxembourg,specialises in the processing and recycling of scrap metal productsincluding incinerated scrap, shredded scrap and demolition scrap.
The bulk of Rolanfer's production is delivered to ArcelorMittalsites in Luxembourg. 'This acquisition will assist in securing thesupply of scrap metal to ArcelorMittal operations in the region,'the company said.
