Tecan has launched the Cavro Centris Pump, a compact, highprecision OEM syringe pump for laboratory instruments.
In a release the Company noted:
The new pump offers a broader working volume range from a singlesyringe size compared to other similar pumps, enabling users to domore with one pump than ever before.
The Cavro Centris Pump's rigid mechanical design with fewer movingparts ensures reliability, while the fluidics components useprecision-paired ceramic parts, resulting in almost no resistanceor wear. The pump's high efficiency stepper motor and mechanicaldrive allow excellent liquid handling performance at small volumes,yet still have the necessary speed and power to achieve high volumeperformance. The compact dimensions of the Cavro Centris Pump giveit the smallest footprint of any OEM syringe pump. The new pumpfeatures increased on-board diagnostics, so the user can query thepump for its critical performance parameters.
