Onsrud Cutter said it has developed a line of tools that are capable of runningat high spindle speeds while providing good tool life to solve theproblem of cutting stainless steel on a high-speed CNC router.
The combination of cutting geometry and coating allows stainlesssteel to be routed for sign, exhibit, and general sheetapplications.
The solid carbide tools are available in 0.125-in., 0.1875-in.,0.250-in. and 0.375-in. diameters and can be run at spindle speedsfrom 6,000 rpm to 18,000 rpm.
