A special dispatch from Wrights Station says: "The white meninjured by the tunnel explosion are likely to recover. One moreChinaman died last night. No more bodies have been taken out of therailroad tunnel. The head Chinaman is trying to get men to go intothe tunnel after the dead, but no one is willing to go. He willprobably get some after the blower has run about 17 hours. The airpumped out is very foul and full of gas."
Coroner Harris went to Wrights Station on Sunday for the purpose ofholding an inquest in the matter of the death of Manuel Fegar, anative of Portugal, who committed suicide at that place on Saturdaymorning. Fegar was a section hand on the railroad and had alwaysbeen regarded as a quiet, temperate and peaceable man. From thetestimony it appeared that on Friday he began to exhibit symptomsof insanity. At night while in his room in the hotel, he tried tostab himself with a pocket knife, but was prevented by a companion.He then jumped through the window to the ground and nothing wasseen of him again, until Saturday morning when his dead body wasfound at the foot of an embankment.
