Libyan cargo plane with minesweeping equipment on board arrives

N'Djamena, 16.07.2008 (JANA) In implementation of the cooperationagreement signed on June 14, 2007 between the De-mining Society ofGathafi International Charity & Development Foundation (GICDF) andthe Chadian De-mining Supreme Commission, a Libyan cargo plane withminesweeping equipment on board arrived in N'Djamena Airportyesterday.
The equipment were received at the airport by the ChadianUndersecretary of Ministry of Economy & Planning, the Chairman ofthe Chadian De-mining Supreme Commission, a number of ChadianOfficials, the Secretary and members of the Libyan People's Bureauin Chad.
The Chadian Undersecretary renewed appreciation and gratitude ofthe Chadian people to the Leader of the Revolution, saying thatGICDF's initiative came in line with the Leader's keenness andcontinuous effort to sustain development in all parts of Chad.
On his part, the Executive Director of the GICDF's De-miningSociety said that minesweeping and overcoming its destructiveeffects on development in Chad came within the humanitarianinitiatives of the GICDF and its chief Saif al-Islam Muammaral-Gathafi; and within its continuous effort to assist the Chadianpeople.
