Barclays exit industrial manufacturer CEME

Barclays Private Equity has agreed to sell fluid control componentsproducer CEME Group to Investcorp, the global provider and managerof alternative investment products. The current management teamwill also reinvest in the company.
Founded in 1974, CEME initially focused on solenoid valves forindustrial applications, progressively expanding its product rangeto offer a wide range of components for fluid control in steam,water, gas and air applications. The company employs 466 staff andmanufactures its components in production facilities in Italy andChina. CEME achieved turnover of EUR 113.1m in 2007.
Barclays Private Equity bought CEME in September 2005.
