Klein + Hummel announces the launch of its PAS 100 portable,self-powered indoor/outdoor speaker that offers integration withSennheiser's industry-leading wireless microphone technology.Making its debut at InfoComm08, the PAS 100 is specificallydesigned for large room applications, and features two option slotsfor Sennheiser evolution wireless G2 series receivers or a built-inCD/MP3 player in addition to external inputs for a microphone andmusic playback.
The NTRL-approved PAS 100 is designed for use in such venueapplications as hotels, local gatherings and small performanceareas by fitness instructors, educators and public speakers. Quickand easy to set up and operate, the speaker system's electronicsare factory tuned to provide what is characterized as clear andnatural sound. The bi-amplified unit offers a 50-watt woofer plus a20-watt tweeter mounted on an advanced professional horn design andgenerates an SPL of 118dB. The speaker has a frequency range of75Hz - 18kHz with a directivity of 90 degrees (H) by 40 degrees (V)(above 2.5kHz).
There are four inputs, each with level control, including twouniversal option slots that may be outfitted with two Sennheiser G2wireless diversity microphone receivers or a built-in, anti-shockCD/MP3 player, plus connectors for a wired, dynamic mic input andan auxiliary line level input for an external playback source. Apair of RCA connectors is also provided for recording outputs.High, mid and low tone controls are included together with anoutput level control.
