Combilift four-way forklift trucks operate as three machines in one to handle awkward and long loads: as a counterbalance truck, as a sideloader, and as a narrow-aisle forklift.
Irish manufacturers of the range of Combilift four-way forklift trucks, Combilift, introduced the first internal combustion engine powered four-way forklift onto the market in 1998 At the recent MACH 2008 machine tool exhibition, the company told manufacturingtalk that there are now over 8,000 units in operation around the world

Multi-directional forklift improves handling
A multi-directional forklift truck from Combilift has improved materials handling at the Category 5 Hurricane Shutters Company, providing double-stacking and a long reach.
Combilifts said that its trucks are widely recognised for the safe and space saving handling of long and awkwardly-shaped loads.

1 - As a counterbalance truck.

2 - As a sideloader truck.

3 - As a narrow-aisle forklift.

It is designed to operate inside and out, in all weather conditions so it is a universal and versatile forklift.

Sideways travel enables the trucks to work in aisles widths of just 2m, which allows maximum use to be made of all available storage space.

Combilift said its truck eliminates the risky high level transportation of long product associated with the use of counterbalance forklifts. .

Diesel, LPG and the more recently introduced electric power options are available.

The wide variety of lift capacities, mast heights, platform dimensions and range of attachments available means that in effect practically every Combilift is purpose-built to provide a truly customised handling truck.
