New U.S. Pump and Compressor Stations in 2009 to Add 1.14 Million Horsepower

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- In 2009, approximately 38 new mainline industrial pump and compressor stations will become operational to increase the flow of crude oil and natural gas in the U.S. Some of these new stations will be constructed along existing pipelines, and some will be constructed along new mainline intrastate pipelines. A total of 1,144,318 horsepower will be installed at these stations, giving an average project station size of approximately 30,113 horsepower per station.
