Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems LLC, USA, (STO:ATCOA)(STO:ATCOB) acquires privately-held Industrial Power Sales, Inc.,USA. The acquisition brings Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systemscloser to its customers in the southeastern region of the UnitedStates.
Industrial Power Sales is a distributor of tools, assembly systemsand material handling equipment and has represented Atlas CopcoTools & Assembly Systems for 28 years. The company isheadquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina and employs 61 people.
"The acquisition will give Atlas Copco better geographicalcoverage, allowing us to meet the needs of our global and regionalcustomers. In addition, Industrial Power Sales employees have agreat deal of valuable knowledge and experience, which complementsthat of our own people," says Mats Rahmstrom, President Atlas CopcoIndustrial Technique.
The company has been a distributor of Atlas Copco's products inVirginia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama,and Mississippi. The North American Tools and Assembly Systems teamwill total 250 employees after the acquisition.
