There are so many kinds of tools for jewelry making. These are somehand tools that I recommend you to have.
Split ring pliers are really nice to have if you work a lot withsplit rings. They make it so much easier to get that split ringonto your project.
There are certain kinds of pliers that are used for looping andmaking curves. A couple of them are; wire-looping pliers, these arekind of strange looking. They have one jaw that is graduated intothree wire looping sizes and the other is formed in a curve.
And Concave-bending pliers have one jaw that is round with a tipand the other is molded to fit it. This allows you to form yourwire into rounded shapes.
Flat nose pliers (also referred to as chain-nose) have flat jawsand have a strong hold. Good for holding jump rings.
Round nose pliers have rounded jaws that come to a point. Good forturning loops and bending wire into curves.
Bent flat nose pliers have precision to reach tiny spaces and aredelicate to work on.
Flush cutting pliers, are used a lot in wire working to trim headpins and eye pins.
I prefer the Side cutting pliers, I use them more than the flushcutters.
If you are using metals or doing wire work, you will want to haveNylon jaw pliers. These prevent nicks and dents on colored wire.

There are a couple of smaller tools that can be just as importantas the bigger ones. One of which are the tweezers, good for pickingup small items and helpful when tying knots.
A good pair of precision scissors, designed to cut into tiny placesare also a must.
Another is an Awl. Awls are for things like helping tie knots, rounding narrow links and stretching links.
And the cute little jump ring tool that fits onto your finger andcomes in very handy when working with a lot of jump rings. It has acouple of slots on it that will fit different sizes of wire gauge, just twist and hold the jump ring open.
I hope that I was able to inform you about some of the tools youwill use when making jewelry.
