England question India cricket tour venues

The Board for Control of Cricket in India wants England to opentheir seven-week trip with two one-day warmup matches in Mumbai onNovember 6 and 9 and finish with the second of two tests in thesame city.
In between there are seven one-day internationals, a three-daywarmup and the first Test all in different cities.
The England and Wales Cricket Board is unhappy at the absence ofKolkata, Bangalore, Chennai and Mohali from the list of venues.
"(We) are disappointed that, despite their representations,the itinerary doesn't offer the thousands of supporters who followthe England team abroad, the opportunity to experience more of thegreat cricket grounds of India," the ECB said Monday in astatement.
"As far as the ECB are concerned the acceptance of theitinerary remains subject to acceptable logistical arrangements andan acceptable security environment and security arrangements beingin place at each of the venues."
England are scheduled to arrive in Mumbai on November 6 and playone-dayers in Rajkot, Indore, Kanpur, Jamshedpur, Cuttack, Guwahatiand Delhi.
The first Test is in Ahmedabad starting on December 11 followed byMumbai from the 19th.
