Metso completes the MAPAG Valves acquisition

Metso has completed the acquisition of MAPAG Valves GmbH from TheLinde Group, having now received the relevant approvals for thedeal.
The ownership of the company was transferred to Metso on 12th June2008, with the acquired company to be integrated into MetsoAutomation’s Flow Control business line. In connection withthe transaction, the parties also have signed a long-termpartnership agreement.
MAPAG Valves is a manufacturing company of high performancebutterfly valves, used across a wide spectrum of industry, such aschemical, petrochemical, air separation, natural gas, off-shore andliquefied natural gas (LNG) as well as nuclear and conventionalpower stations. Its special strengths are in engineering, projectmanagement and process know-how for demanding applications.
Following the acquisition, Metso supports its strategy tocomplement the product offering for the energy and hydrocarbonindustries, while also improving the company’s marketposition in the fast growing industrial markets, such as industrialgas and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The partnership agreement enables to deepen the customerrelationship and technology cooperation with The Linde Group.
