Starbucks adds another exotic sounding product name

Last week, Starbucks unleashed its latest summer drinks acrossCanada and the US. The drink (product name: Vivanno) come in twoflavours: Orange Mango Banana and Banana Chocolate. For a 16ozserving, you get a fairly healthy dose of ingredients: 16 grams ofprotein, 5 grams of fiber, a serving of fruit, and perhaps mostimportantly: no artificial colors/sweeteners or high fructose cornsyrup. The drinks are in the $4.50-$5 range.
This must be interesting news for the seemingly endless amount ofsmoothie and juice companies which have sprung up in recent years.

In Canada, Starbucks' main coffee competitor, Second Cup, alsoappears to be offering something for its nutritionally consciouscustomers. I recently stopped in at one location and noticedsomething called "vitality boost" on the menu. I askedthe barista who was unclear on what was in it, but knew it includedginseng, and some other stuff. I contacted Second Cup's PR peoplelast week for a more scientific evaluation, but I've not heard backyet.
