China builds up the exports of canned champignons

The exports of the canned champignons from China reached 143,000 tons in the first quarter 2008. To compare, 130,000 tons were exported during the same period of the previous year, Foodnews informs. USA remains the major buyer of canned Chinese champignons - 19,200 tons of this product were shipped to the country. Russia was the second largest buyer of canned champignons of Chinese origin; this country has imported 16,500 tons during the first quarter.
