Japan\'s machine tool orders dropped 2.7% year-on-year in June

Japan's machine tool order intakes totalled 128.15 billion yen inJune, down 3.5% from the previous month, and 2.7% from the previousyear, according to the primary figure released by Japan MachineTool Builders Association.

Of this figure, orders from domestic market has seen a decrease of2.5% from the previous year, but up 2.7% from the previous month;at the same time, orders contributed by overseas market fell by2.8% year on year, and fell by 7.9% from the previous month.
