Charities see more people in need of food

Local charities are working overtime to feed a growing number of needy people in the Treasure Valley.
According to the Idaho Foodbank more people than ever before are relying on the help of charity to feed their families.
NewsChannel 7 visited some local food organizations today and had a chance to see what’s going on firsthand.
It’s a big problem -- record-breaking numbers across the country and Idaho’s no exception.
We spoke with a few people trying to make a difference in a problem that's expected to only get worse.
It’s all been restored for the most part,” said John Johnson, owner Paradise Motors.
Today Johnson sells used cars but just a few years ago, he was living in his car.
"We're supposed to be human, if someone needs help, if we have the capability of helping don't we have the responsibility to help them?" said Johnson.
