BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wirelesssubscribers have another important tool to help manage theircommunications with the launch of City ID -- an enhanced mobileCaller ID application which displays the city and state of incomingcalls.

Available today on the Voyager(TM) by LG, City ID automaticallydisplays the city and state where an incoming phone number isregistered, providing additional information to help VerizonWireless customers recognize unknown numbers.
City ID, an application from Cequint, features information on morethan 20,000 cities inNorth America, providing enough detail to beuseful identifying numbers calling from both across town and acrossthe country.
Verizon Wireless customers purchasing the Voyager will receive acomplimentary 15-day trial of the City ID application beginningwith their first incoming call. Customers may subscribe to City IDfor $1.99 monthly access per line added to their monthly plan. City ID comespreloaded on new Voyagers; customers with existing Voyagers cantake their phones to any Verizon Wireless Communications Store toreceive the free software update. Verizon Wireless expects to offerCity ID on additional devices in the coming months.
