D-Link introduces three fixed network cameras, which are designedfor professional surveillance and security applications. Eachcamera provides versatile security solutions for businesses thatrequire local or remote monitoring. The cameras' features includeday and night viewing, megapixel sensors, high-power zoom and Powerover Ethernet (PoE) support.
The D-Link Day & Night Megapixel Camera with PoE Support(DCS-3110) is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel progressive scan CMOSsensor and a 6 millimeter lens (interchangeable with aftermarketlenses) for capturing a wider field of view with a resolution of upto 1280 x 1024. A built-in ICR filter provides automatic day/nightfunctionality, adjusting the image from color during the day tomonochrome at night to compensate for poor lighting conditions.
The D-Link Day & Night Camera with a CCD sensor and PoE support(DCS-3410) with low-light video capture features 0.3 Lux lightsensitivity for capturing video anytime, day or night. The cameraalso supports optional CS mount standard lenses, such as anauto-iris lens, an IR LED lens or a night vision illuminator, torecord video in environments with little or no light.
The third business-class camera is the D-Link Day & NightCamera with an 18x optical zoom and PoE support (DCS-3415). Forimproved picture quality, it is equipped with a progressive scanCCD sensor to capture vivid images of moving objects and reducemotion blur, distortion and jagged edges of recorded images.
All three cameras can be placed in locations without a power outletwith the use of 802.3af PoE to receive both power and data over asingle Ethernet cable. They support simultaneous streaming ofMPEG-4 and MJPEG video to provide both high-quality andbandwidth-efficient compression formats. MJPEG delivers greaterfile integrity, making it ideal for detailed monitoring situations,while MPEG-4 video has smaller file sizes, offering a usefulsolution for extended recording periods or for use in low bandwidthnetworks. Digital input and output ports offer flexibleconnectivity to external devices such as IR sensors, switches andalarm relays. RS-485 interfaces provide connectivity to optionalPan/Tilt enclosures that effectively adds pan/tilt functionality.The cameras also include 12V interfaces for powering optional LEDilluminators.
Also included is support for 3GPP Mobile Surveillance, allowingusers to view live video feeds from a compatible Internet-readymobile phone with a 3GPP player installed. This feature extendsmonitoring capability without requiring the use of a computer,letting the user check the camera's video feed while on the go.
The cameras come with built-in microphones and audio ports fortwo-way audio communication when an external speaker is connected. Audio switches ensure privacy when needed. They feature a built-inSamba client for network-attached storage (NAS) so there is no needfor a direct connection to a PC, hardware or software to captureand transfer video or images.
For convenient management, the three cameras include D-LinkD-ViewCam 2.0 software that lets users manage up to 32 networkcameras, set e-mail alert notifications, set recording schedulesand trigger motion detection to record directly to a hard drive. Tofurther simplify the management process, the D-ViewCam 2.0 softwarealso lets the user upload a business floor plan and create arealistic layout of where cameras are located.
