The Ask-A-Nurse program will close within 90 days, its sponsorannounced Wednesday.
The program is a referral source to all Colorado hospitals. CenturaHealth is its sole sponsor, but Ask-A-Nurse "had become tooexpensive ... to maintain without jeopardizing its other communityhealth initiatives and hospital program funding," according toa news release.
Ask-A-Nurse will begin reducing hours during the next couple ofweeks to begin the transition.
"We're proud to have offered one of the longest-running callcenters in the country," Ask-A-Nurse Director Rolando Salinassaid in the news release.
Centura is Colorado's largest health care provider, and includes 12hospitals, seven senior living residences, medical clinics, FlightFor Life, and home care and hospice services.
