Aaron King named USL First Division Player of the Week

Charleston, SC. Charleston Battery forward Aaron King has beennamed the USL First Division Player of the Week following hisoutstanding performance during last Saturday night's game versusthe Montreal Impact. King was substituted into the game in 60thminute; he scored the game winner and also assisted on the thirdgoal as the Battery won 3-1.
Aaron King is joined on the Team of the Week by Battery midfielderIan Fuller who is also honored for his efforts during the gameversus the Impact; Fuller scored Charleston's first goal in thematch.
This is King's second season with the Battery; in 2007 he scored 4goals with 1 assist in 27 games played. A native of Denver, CO,King, 24, was originally drafted by Major League Soccer's LosAngeles Galaxy's as a fourth-round pick (48th overall) in the 2006MLS SuperDraft but switched to Colorado during pre-season.
Prior to turning pro, King was a four-year starter with NC Statewhere he scored 29 goals and had 12 assists. He was named firstteam All-Atlantic Coast Conference for both the 2003 and 2004seasons.
