Power Restoration in Brooklyn Continues

More than 1,100customers in Sunset Park, Bay Ridge and Borough Park have had theirelectrical power restored since this morning. Approximately 900customers remain without electricity and most are expected to berestored by tonight, with the remainder being restored earlytomorrow morning.

Customer service vans have been set up at the following locations,where dry ice is being distributed:

Con Edison continues to ask all customers in Sunset Park, Bay Ridgeand Borough Park to avoid using non-essential electricalappliances, including air conditioning, until problems onelectrical cables are resolved.

The company continues to ask customers to report powerinterruptions or service problems online at www.conEd.com , or by calling Con Edison's toll-free customer service number1-800-75-CON ED (1-800-752-6633). When reporting an outage,customers should have their Con Edison account number available, ifpossible, and report whether their neighbors also have lost power.
