City of Riverside awards ACS multi-year IT outsourcing contract

Affiliated Computer Services Inc (ACS) (NYSE: ACS), a provider ofbusiness process outsourcing and information technology solutions,announced on Thursday (17 July) that the company has been awarded amulti-year extended IT outsourcing contract by the city ofRiverside, California, USA.
The extended IT contract is valued at USD50m, if all option yearsare exercised. The base contract is for a period of four years,with three two-year renewal options available.
Under the contract, ACS will provide information technologyoutsourcing to support the city's computer operations andgeographic information services.
ACS will provide IT support for the city's help desk, desktop,system and network operations and supports its applications andimplementation.
