Time Warner Cable Names Steven Teplitz Senior Vice President

Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) today announced that Steven Teplitzwill join the company as Senior Vice President, GovernmentRelations. He will report to Gail MacKinnon, Executive VicePresident and Chief Government Relations Officer. Teplitz will bebased in the company's Washington, D.C., public policy office,where he will oversee Time Warner Cable's federal legislative,regulatory and external affairs.
"Steven's extensive experience with and knowledge of the company,the cable industry and the regulatory and legislative issues facingour business make him the perfect person to help me lead TWC'spublic policy efforts," MacKinnon said. "We are fortunate to havehis knowledge and expertise at Time Warner Cable."
Teplitz is currently Vice President and Associate General Counselat Time Warner Inc., where he is responsible for communicationspolicy and regulatory affairs. He works closely with Time Warnerbusiness units including HBO, Time Warner Cable, Turner, and AOL,which he joined in 1997 in the company's legal department.Previously, he was an attorney in the Federal CommunicationsCommission's Common Carrier Bureau. Prior to the FCC, Teplitz wasan attorney in private practice and represented cable operators andwireless carriers. From 1991 to 1993, he was a legislativeassistant to former U.S. Senator Conrad Burns.
Teplitz is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Associationand served on the FCBA Foundation Board. He currently serves as amember of The Media Institute's Board of Trustees. Teplitz receiveda B.A. in government, with honors, from Colby College inWaterville, Maine, and received a law degree, also with honors,from the George Washington University National Law Center.
