The Dutch mobile industry generated EUR 1.53 billion in revenue atthe end of the Q1 2008, showing a small decline of 0.9 % whencompared to same period last year and down by 1.6% when compared tolast quarter. According to Telecompaper's quarterly Dutch mobilemarket monitor, the small decrease was largely due to the continuedstrong growth in messaging and data services, while revenues fromvoice services declined both compared to last quarter and sameperiod last year, with 3.7 and 6.2 percent respectively. VodafoneNetherlands showed strongest overall performance compensating forthe drop in revenue of market leader KPN and T-Mobile. KPN's marketshare declined from 46.7 percent to 45.9 percent, while T-Mobiledropped by 0.5 percent to a 25.1 percent market share.
