Globecomm Systems gets $3.1M equipment order

Globecomm Systems Inc. said Monday it received a $3.1 million contract to build and install a new Ku frequency band earth station.
The company said it received the order from an existing telecommunications customer in Asia.
The product will let its customer improve service availability and overcome outages due to severe rainstorms, Globecomm said.
